Cadiz favorite pastry and sweet shop since 1950. Exquisite turron de Cadiz richly packed in with two different almond pastes,egg yolks,dry fruits and more. Pinenut balls,almond tarts, flan etc. so delicious and satisfying. Beautiful and delicate shop made chocolates are must tries.
For the first time, I tried 'tocinillo de cielo', which is a southern dessert in the province of Cadiz. Basically, it's made from egg yolk and sirop similar to a pudding. But believe me, the one that you can find in Maype is far far far better than what you can imagine from these simple ingredients!

Pastelería Maype 🍰: Fundada en 1983, está considerada una de las mejores tiendas de Andalucía en surtido de caramelos🍬🍭 y bombones 🍫. También tienen pastelitos 🍰 y galletas 🍪🥨, algunos de elaboración propia. Cogimos un pastelito de chocolate 🍰🍫 y un tocinito de cielo 🍮 y estaban muy ricos. El señor que nos atendió fue muy amable 👨🏻.

Conserva una estructura clásica y es todo un placer pasar por su escaparate decorado en cada momento y acorde a cada época y fiesta local del año. Sin duda ir a Maype es garantía de excelencia. La pastelería es cuidada fresca y exquisita y evoca los años de la más tierna infancia porque son los pasteles que año tras año disfrutabas. Las cremas los chocolates los bizcochos los merengues milhojas... Todos ellos cuidados perfectamente elaborados y frescos no hay pastel que se les resista...es un placer ver todo el surtido de caramelos desde violetas naranjitas y limones y gran surtido de caramelos que hacen que volvamos a ser niños...
